Four new followers and I haven’t posted anything new in months!

Hello and thanks everyone. I’m on vacation at the moment, but I guess I’ll be looking for some furry stuff to post when I get home.

Several days ago, I found this question on one of my favorite blogs. Finding the response a bit disturbing, I submitted this as a question, promising that if he didn’t answer the question and put it on his blog, I would happily put it on mine. So here it is:

I am very sad that because you are uncircumcised you feel some need to be extraordinarily tactless and insensitive to someone who, quite simply, was playing Russian Roulette with chances, the same as you did at your own birth. You didn’t *earn* your foreskin; you were born to parents with enough momentary sanity not to mutilate you, so be a little less stuck up about it and perhaps help someone slightly less lucky than yourself (‘slightly’ in the sense that our penises are completely functional and, just like yours, many are awesome and many less so) and offer some information regarding foreskin restoration or at least offer your opinion regarding such actions instead of being a dick. I support your notion to love your penis, but in reality, every man should do this, circumcised or not; we did all, in fact, get much luckier than women.

In lieu of this, I will tell you a little about foreskin restoration. The first thing that came to mind for me when I considered it is that it is more or less irreversible unless you’re willing to be circumcised again, and I think one time was enough for most of us. It seems a silly thing to bring up – why would you want to be circumcised again if you went to all the trouble to restore your foreskin? You probably wouldn’t. But irreversible actions (excluding the route of scary, sharp devices near your penis again) are intimidating.

And please, please be sensitive to people. I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and say that I’m sure you weren’t intending to offend circumcised men, but you’ve stepped on my toes in any case. I can speak for myself: I have, on many occasions, been extremely envious of uncircumcised men. At this point, it really just seems like a ‘grass is greener’ sort of thing, and as my boyfriend is uncircumcised, I can safely say that he doesn’t seem to consider himself to be extraordinarily gifted or amazing for it and he certainly isn’t an asshole about it.
